Born in Buenos Aires in 1983. Lives and works in Argentina.
Exequiel Mantega has developed his career on three ways: as a pianist, composing original music and as a teacher, teaching mainly developing the "Chamber Orchestras of Popular Music."
As a musician appears regularly in Buenos Aires and inside the country with its own projects and always linked to popular music in Argentina.
He has done 7 albums, and more than 100 concerts with the Duo-Mantega Fain.
He did more than 11 tours in Europe and USA.
He writes permanently, and at present he has 50 original compositions edited and orchestrated for different formations.
His compositions are influenced by folk music from Argentina, Tango, Uruguayan Candombe, different branches of Brazilian music, and the important influence of great musicians such as E. Gismonti, A. Piazzolla, K. Jarret, C. Debussy, M. Ravel and B. Evans, as the most prominent.
As a teacher directs since 2009 the "Chamber Orchestras of Popular Music," where students go through the experience of becoming "professional musicians" working the audition sense, improvisation together, reading chords, through processes of transcription, orchestration and playing together.
